Lizzie Velasquez is one of the only two reported people in the world who suffers from a disease that prevents her from gaining weight.

As if going to high school and college wasn't hard enough already, Velasquez was also the subject of a viral YouTube video that labeled her the ugliest woman in existence and garnered comments asking her do the world a favor and kill herself.

But she always had a choice.
